e4 Partnership: What’s in a name?

Our name, e4 Partnership, comes from the picture of the Church envisioned in Ephesians 4:1-16.  These verses capture the unity, growth, and purpose of the Church as we exist in Christ.  By grace, we aim to embody these truths in how we relate to one another.  We come back to them regularly as our mooring and ideal.

Unity: “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.  There is one body…” (Eph. 4:3-4).

Growth: “To each one of us, grace has been given as Christ apportioned it…Christ gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers to equip his people for works of service so that the body may be built up… we will grow to become, in every respect, the mature body of him who is the head” (Eph. 4:7, 11-12, 15).

Purpose: “Live a life worthy of the calling you have received… God is overall and through all and in all… [until we] attain to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ” (Eph. 4: 1, 6, 13)
